*The design of our school is ongoing and will be influenced by the continued community outreach and feedback through community meetings, chapter meetings, and public planning meetings. What is shown below is a first draft based on what we have heard from community members and from scholarship on Indigenous Education.

Vision

A school in Gallup that supports the social, economic, and cultural wellness of self-determined native communities in and around Gallup, contributes positively to an inclusive Gallup for all residents, and stands as an exemplar of what can be possible in Indigenous education. 

Mission

To re-imagine the school experience for American Indian students by building a school through a community-led design process within the Native American community around Gallup, NM that reflects the strengths, aspirations, values, and history of that community.
