Yá'át'ééh, Keshshi, Welcome!
Introducing Six Directions Indigenous School!
After close to a year of community outreach, relational meetings, team planning meetings, and lots of discourse and debate, we are taking our next step. We submitted our application last month and are in the process of working with the state PED and PEC to secure approval. We'll be updating the site soon to reflect our new identity as Six Directions. Check back often!
The Six Directions Indigenous School, through a commitment to culturally relevant indigenous education and interdisciplinary project-based learning, will develop critically conscious students who are engaged in their communities, demonstrate holistic well-being, and have a personal plan for succeeding in post-secondary opportunities.
Monday, August 17th, 8:00-10:00, room SST 200 at UNM-Gallup: our Community Input Hearing with the Public Education Commission. Come make your voice heard and express your support for Six Directions!
Keep up with our blog!
We update our blog with news and announcements about our work, essays from our organization, and guest posts from community members. Check back often.
